Alyth Museum is the only museum in Perth & Kinross outside of Perth. It sits in an area that is rich in farming and this is the inspiration for the displays. You can also enjoy a vast collection of objects and pictures, showing life as it was in Alyth and the surrounding areas.

The museum features displays on local agrarian history; dairy, kitchen, manse parlour, laundry & schoolroom, cottage industries, written and photographic records.
One of the main attractions is the Blairgowrie Drunk’s Cart, which was used in the nineteenth century to carry drunks back to their home. There is a large Social History collection with over 7,500 items, a lot of which has a direct association with the Perthshire area. Items in the collection include modes of transport and communication, shop fittings and everyday domestic material.
