Busy Summer

We’ve had a busy summer starting up the project!

In July we heard that Creative Scotland had awarded us early stage development funding for the public art strand of the programme. This is terrific news, as along with funding from Perth & Kinross Council and Mission Models Money, it has enabled us to start laying the foundations for all the work we have to do.

This has included:

  • a mapping exercise of all the cultural and creative assets that are already present around the Trail – a task we’ve now completed. This is being turned into an interactive map which will be available on the site soon and which we hope will build over time.
  • a visit by the sustainable design luminary John Thackara who is going to be helping use shape the learning aspects of the programme – you can read an interview with him on our blog
  • the building of the website, which you are looking at now, the platform for all the amazing ideas and plans that we will hope will be realised through the next couple of years and beyond.

There’s lots more planning to be done over the autumn which we’ll be sharing news of through our blog, so do join our mailing list to keep up to
